Abstract
Using the method of philosophical analysis, the paper argues that bipolarization of reality and devaluation by exclusive elimination of such bifurcated contraries in the Western worldview is partly responsible for the elevation of the Sciences over the Humanities. As a matter of fact, the elevation of Science and its method above the Humanities on account of successes it has recorded in the West, has survived because today's society has elevated economic and technological wellbeing over and above the holistic wellbeing of human beings. The paper calls on the Humanities to pick up the ethics of their respective professions, a kind that allows for the moral astuteness of their profession, bearing in mind that any form of bodily or mental training that ignores the complementation of ethical values defeats the ultimate aim of education.
